Zaigo's Blockchain Innovation in Digital Certification

Zaigo Infotech revolutionizes certification with blockchain technology, ensuring secure creation, distribution, and transparent authentication of digital certificates and badges.

About The Client

Our client is a digital service provider that offers educational and technical training courses and content to students and professionals, helping them enhance their knowledge and advance their careers.

Project Background

The client wants to develop an online platform for the distribution of digital course certificates and badges to their students. The platform to be developed is also intended to offer maximum security and data protection using blockchain technology and validate the certificates and badges earned by the students on completing the courses successfully.

Goal

The project's primary aim was to create a web application enabling educational institutions to create certificates and badges using a canvas-based editor and use the templates created for issuing badges and certificates to their students upon course completion. These badges and certifications are integrated using blockchain technology, with each issuance of a badge or certificate resulting in the creation of a unique NFT token. This NFT token incorporates essential information such as the student's name, the completed course, the date of completion, and the NFT's value.

Project Timeline

The overall timeframe for the development of the project was 4 months.

Challenges

The key challenge we encountered revolved around integrating the student and course information from the existing application and creating the students in the Mycreds platform using API and having the option to sync the courses and institutions within our platform completely automated and the issuance of the created certificate by integrating with blockchain technology to generate NFTs. Additionally, we needed to ensure that NFT tokens were generated specifically after badges/certificates were assigned to students.
